THE BELIEVER'S CONFESSION

A Vow to Glorify Our Father

I purposely, with all sincerity, refuse to stagger at the Word of my Heavenly Father and God through unbelief, fear and overwhelming doubt.

I am God’s own workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which He has foreordained me to walk.

I am a Believer; a new creation person possessed with the mind of Christ-born again of the water and the Spirit, filled with the Holy Ghost.

I will not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of my mind. Truly of His fullness, I have received, and grace for grace.

I now pledge to cast down every rogue, faith-destroying imagination that exalts itself against the knowledge of God.

Daily, I purpose to keep His Words in the midst of my heart so that in everything I do, say or think, will be an affirmation of my faith and love for Him who first loved me.

I therefore, will entertain no corrupt thoughts or vile imaginations, and let no corrupt words proceed out of my mouth - only words of edification, exhortation, and comfort, that God in all things might be glorified in the Son through my life. Amen.

VISION AND REALITY

Isaiah 35:7 AMP “And the burning sand and the mirage shall become a pool, and the thirsty ground springs of water; in the haunt of jackals, where they lay resting, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.”Amen.

We always have visions before a thing is made real. When we realize that although the vision is real, it is not real in us, then that is the time satan comes in with his temptations, and we are likely to say it is no use to go on. Instead of the vision becoming real, there has come the valley of humiliation.

God gives us the vision, then He takes us down to the valley to batter us into the shape of the vision, and it is in the valley that so many of us faint and give way. Every vision will be made real if we will have patience.

Think of the enormous leisure of God! He is never in a hurry. We are always in such a frantic hurry. In the light of the glory of the vision we go forth to do things, but the vision is not real in us yet; and God has to take us into the valley, and put us through fires and floods to batter us into shape, until we get to the place where He can trust us with the reality.

Every since we first had the vision God has been at work, getting us into the shape of the ideal, and over and over again we escape from His hand and try to batter ourselves into our own shape…to do it our own way. The vision is not a castle in the sky, but a vision of what God wants us to be.

Let Him put you on His wheel and whirl you as He likes, and as sure as God is God and you are you, you will turn out exactly in accordance with the vision. Don't lose heart in the process. If you ever get hold of the vision of God, you may try as you like to be satisfied on a lower level, but God will never let you.
